Meet the Renton Team Behind DryMark Restoration Renton

Our Renton crew isn’t a rotating door of contractors. These are the same faces who show up at 2 a.m. when a water line lets go in Fairwood, or on a Sunday when mold turns up behind the laundry wall in Benson Hill. What ties us together is simple: we document everything, we quote in writing before we start, and we stand behind the work for a full year. No exceptions, no surprises.

Our People

Marcus T., Lead Water Damage Technician

Marcus has been running mitigation crews for nine years, the last four with us in Renton. He’s IICRC-certified in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying (ASD), which means he can read a psychrometric chart and explain why your oak floor is salvageable but the MDF baseboard isn’t, all in the same breath. Marcus keeps a laminated copy of The Haven Standard in his truck glovebox, not for show, but because he actually references Clause 1 when a homeowner asks why we’re writing up a scope before we unload equipment. Off the clock, he restores vintage motorcycles in a garage near the Cedar River, a hobby that’s taught him more about patience and precision than any certification course.

Dana K., Senior Mold Remediation Installer

Dana came to us from a commercial abatement background, and she still thinks in containment cubic feet and negative air exchanges per hour. She’s our go-to when a Renton homeowner finds black mold behind shower tile in a 1970s rambler, or when a property manager in the Highlands needs a tertiary drying plan after a failed DIY cleanup. Dana holds RIA-certified mold remediation credentials and keeps current on Washington State Department of Health guidelines for Category 3 water losses. Her human detail: she names every HEPA air scrubber she deploys. Currently running “Gladys” and “Bernice” on alternate jobs. Says it helps her remember which machine logged which hours.

Raj P., Service Coordinator & Documentation Lead

Raj is the voice you hear when you call (360) 469-6341 at midnight, and the person who makes sure your photo record, drying log, and written scope all land in your inbox before the crew packs up. He trained as a claims adjuster for three years before crossing to our side of the desk, which means he speaks the language of depreciation schedules and code-upgrade coverage fluently. Raj coordinates directly with adjusters from Safeco, PEMCO, USAA, and most major carriers serving King County, and he’s the reason our documentation rarely gets kicked back for “insufficient evidence of loss.” He lives in Renton proper, near Liberty Park, and commutes by bike when the weather cooperates, which he admits is less often than he’d prefer.

Jordan L., Restoration Apprentice

Jordan joined us eighteen months ago with a background in residential carpentry and a willingness to learn the science behind the trade. They’re currently working toward IICRC Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT) certification while handling demolition, containment builds, and equipment placement on water and mold jobs across Renton and southern King County. Jordan’s specialty is reading vapor pressure differentials with a thermo-hygrometer, then translating that data into plain language for homeowners who just want to know if their drywall is actually dry or just surface-dry. On weekends, Jordan volunteers with a local habitat restoration group along the Green River, pulling invasive blackberry so native salmonberry can take hold. The patience translates.

One Standard, Every Job

One Standard, Every Job

DryMark Restoration Renton operates under The Haven Standard, the same framework Alicia Brennan established in 2011 when she founded this company after watching too many homeowners lose legitimate claims to documentation gaps. Every technician on this page has signed the same pledge: written price before work begins (Clause 1), photo record on every visit, and the 365-Day Done Right Promise stamped on the final invoice. We don’t borrow credibility from a national brand. We’re independently owned and operated, which means Alicia answers for every job, and these are the people she sends.

Our equipment comes from Dri-Eaz, Phoenix, XPOWER, B-Air, and Injectidry, and every deployment is logged to IICRC, RIA, and IFA standards. But machines don’t restore homes. People do. The ones who show up, take the moisture reading, explain what it means, and come back if something shifts at day 87.
